GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • Ethlete Lab Academy is a purpose-driven gaming lounge and academy offering a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for gamers of all levels. We provide state-of-the-art equipment, diverse games, and passionate staff to help gamers connect, compete, improve their skills, and explore gaming career opportunities. Our mission is to make gaming accessible for all, especially for kids who might not otherwise have access.

  • Upon opening in March 2025, our lounge will be open with convenient hours for our gamers. Spring break camps and other events offer special hours.

  • Find us at 14414 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH, 44107, with the entrance conveniently located on Marlowe.

  • Convenient parking options are available, including a public lot located behind the building and street parking nearby. Cyclists can take advantage of the bike rack in the public lot. For those using public transit, the RTA 26-26A stops right in front of our lounge.

  • Our lounge policies are designed to create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all our members and guests. Here’s a summary of what you can expect:

     

    • RESPECT AND SPORTSMANSHIP: We encourage kindness, fair play, and mutual respect among all guests. Bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

    • SAFETY FIRST: Our staff is trained to handle emergencies, and we maintain a secure, welcoming environment for gamers of all ages.

    • MEMBERSHIP AND BOOKINGS: Lounge access and rentals are available by membership or pass. Party rentals and events require a 50% deposit at booking.

    • EQUIPMENT USE: Treat our gaming stations and equipment with care. Guests are responsible for damages caused by misuse.

    • INCLUSIVITY AND ACCESSIBILITY: Everyone is welcome at Ethlete Lab Academy, and our lounge is designed to accommodate diverse needs.

CLASSES & CAMPS

  • Game On When School’s Out!

    At Ethlete Lab Academy (ELA), we’re ready to take your child’s school breaks to the next level!

     

    ELA is open and ready for action, whether it’s an early release day, snow day, or teacher work day. Plus, we offer unforgettable week-long camps during Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break.

     

    Choose from half-day (morning or afternoon) or full-day options, where your child can explore, create, and fuel their imagination while developing essential gaming and technology skills.

     

    When school’s out, ELA is open—because the game never stops! 🎮🚀

  • We offer age-appropriate gaming classes for Grades 4–7 and Grades 8–12. Classes include topics like Esports Fundamentals, Game-Specific Strategies, Team Communication, and more. For a full class list, visit our Classes & Camps Page.

  • All classes are 50 minutes

    Warm-Up (5–7 minutes): Quick activities to engage students.

    New Concept (10 minutes): Brief introduction to the day's topic.

    Guided Practice (15 minutes): Hands-on practice with instructor support.

    Independent Work (10–12 minutes): Students apply skills on their own or in groups.

    Wrap-Up (5 minutes): Reinforce key takeaways.

  • Our classes are designed to foster independence and peer collaboration, so parents are not permitted to attend. However, we encourage parents to connect with our team for progress updates and to learn more about their child’s growth.

  • Punctuality is essential to ensure the best learning experience for all participants. Participants must arrive on time for their scheduled class. If a participant arrives more than five minutes late, they will not be permitted to join the class to maintain the flow of the session and respect the learning environment for all attendees.

     

    If the class has a waitlist, the late participant’s spot will be offered to a waitlisted member. Participants who miss a class due to late arrival will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling of the missed session.

  • If your child is unable to attend a scheduled class, please inform your ELA location before the start of the class. A make-up class will be credited to your child’s account and will remain valid for up to six months, provided your child remains actively enrolled. Make-up classes cannot be redeemed once enrollment ends.

  • Our camps are designed specifically for students in Grades 4-8, offering the perfect balance of age-appropriate learning and fun!

  • Each day of camp is packed with engaging topics such as:

     

    • Esports Basics (e.g., history, game genres, industry insights)

    • Skill Development (e.g., mechanics, teamwork, adaptability)

    • Game Strategy (e.g., decision-making, map awareness)

    • Tournament Play (e.g., practice matches and friendly competitions)

     

    Students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

  • The camp price includes:

     

    • Camp sessions

    • 1 snack provided every 3 hours

    • A piece of exclusive Ethlete Lab Academy swag

    • Access to our cutting-edge gaming facilities

     

    Ethlete Lab Academy Members receive a 10% discount on camps.​

  • Our refund policy for camps is designed to provide flexibility while ensuring we can accommodate all participants effectively:

    ​

    • More than 7 Days Before Camp Start: You will receive a full credit for the amount paid, which can be applied toward any future camp, class, or membership at Ethlete Lab Academy.

    • Within 7 Days of Camp Start: You will receive 50% of the amount paid as a credit toward future bookings. This helps cover costs associated with short-notice cancellations.

    • No-Show or Same-Day Cancellation: No refunds or credits will be issued. This policy encourages early communication if plans change.

  • Currently, pre-launch specials are available, offering a $30 savings on Spring Break Camp and additional perks with membership purchases. Visit our Memberships & Passes page for more information. Full registration options will be available soon.

  • You can register and join classes anytime! There’s no need to wait for a new session to start—just sign up and jump in when you’re ready. See our classes page for more information on our offerings and to book a class.

  • There’s no cutoff date for registering for camps—as long as there’s space available, you can sign up right up until the camp starts! However, to ensure you receive ELA swag, please register at least 14 days before the camp’s start date. ee our classes and camps and camps page for more information 

  • Information on upcoming tournaments can be found on our events calendar. Want to host a tournament? Fill out our event rental form to schedule your tournament.

PARTIES & RENTALS

  • Booking is easy! Just fill our the request form to get starting booking your epic gaming party. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Once your preferred time is confirmed, we’ll finalize the details and get your event on the calendar.

  • Each package includes private room access, state-of-the-art gaming stations, and host assistance to ensure everything runs smoothly. You can also customize your event with exciting add-ons like themed décor, custom dessert tables, and party favors. Check out our party packages for full details.

  • There’s no deadline for booking parties—if the space is available online, feel free to reserve it! Add-ons for rentals may have different deadlines. For details, check out our Parties and Rentals page: Gaming Parties & Rentals.

  • We offer four spaces for rentals:

    1. Training Room

      • Features: Private room with 12 PCs and a monitor, used for classes when not rented.

      • Hours:

        • Monday–Friday: Before 4 PM or after 8 PM

        • Saturday: Before 11 AM or after 4 PM

        • Sunday: Available anytime

      • Capacity: 12 people

    2. Lounge

      • Features: Private hangout space with 4 monitors, console/VR games, tiered seating, and room for tables.

      • Hours:

        • Monday–Thursday: 3 PM–10 PM

        • Friday: 3 PM–12 AM

        • Saturday: 11 AM–12 AM

        • Sunday: Available anytime

      • Capacity: 24 people

    3. Cafe

      • Features: Semi-private space with booth/bar seating, a kitchenette, vending machine, monitor, and 2 streaming pods.

      • Hours:

        • Monday–Thursday: 3 PM–10 PM

        • Friday: 3 PM–12 AM

        • Saturday: 11 AM–12 AM

        • Sunday: Available anytime

      • Capacity: 20 people

    4. Open PC Area

      • Features: Non-private space with 20 PC setups.

      • Hours:

        • Monday–Thursday: 3 PM–10 PM

        • Friday: 3 PM–12 AM

        • Saturday: 11 AM–12 AM

        • Sunday: Available anytime

      • Capacity: 20 people

  • Party bookings are first come, first serve. If your selected time isn’t available, our team will contact you to discuss alternative options. Don’t worry, we’ll work with you to find the perfect time for your event!

  • Absolutely! Each package includes a set number of guests, but additional players can join for a small fee. Be sure to let us know in advance so we can accommodate everyone.

  • Yes! Custom dessert tables start at $75. Please note that depending on the options you select with our planning team, additional charges may apply. Full payment for add-ons is required at the time of booking.

  • Deposits are non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule, contact us at least 7 days in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your new date. Add-ons like dessert tables are also non-refundable once booked.

  • You’re welcome to bring your own food, drinks, and decorations, but we also offer great add-on options to make party planning stress-free. Please note that external decorations must be pre-approved by our team.

  • Party durations vary by package, typically lasting 2–3 hours. Additional time can be added for an extra fee. Check the packages section for specific details.

  • Absolutely! Our space is perfect for a variety of events, from team-building activities to private gaming sessions. Contact us to discuss how we can tailor the space to your needs.

  • Yes, custom chair backs are a fantastic way to enhance your party experience and create a memorable keepsake for each gamer! Here’s what you need to know:

     

    • COST: Custom chair backs are $79.99 per gamer and can be taken home as a keepsake after the event. Payment is required in full at time of booking.

    • LEAD TIME: Orders require 4 weeks’ lead time prior to your party date.

     

    HOW TO ORDER

    You'll see the option to select your preferred quantity and upload your graphic design in a vector file format (.AI or .EPS preferred) while booking your party. You must also notify us of the Pantone Colors for your graphic when uploading.

    GRAPHIC GUIDELINES

    • Your design must not violate trademarks or intellectual property rights.

    • Content inciting violence, discriminatory material, inappropriate slang, profanities, or other offensive content will not be approved.

    ​

    REFUND POLICY: Custom chair backs are non-refundable, even if the party is canceled.

     

    Please plan ahead to ensure your custom chairbacks are ready to make your event extra special!

  • To ensure a great experience for everyone, we ask that all guests follow our lounge policies, including no outside gaming equipment and respectful use of our facilities. Full guidelines will be provided upon booking.

PRICING & MEMBERSHIP

  • Our gaming lounge offers several options to suit your needs. You can purchase a day pass, which gives you access to the lounge all day, or opt for a membership plan for unlimited play. Prices for day passes and memberships are listed on the Memberships & Passes page.

     

    We also offer competitive hourly rates for those looking for shorter play sessions. For detailed pricing, please visit our Memberships & Passes section.

  • An Ethlete Lab Academy membership offers unlimited access to our state-of-the-art gaming lounge, featuring cutting-edge gaming stations and the latest games. Members also enjoy exclusive discounts:

     

    • 10% off class passes & camps: Enhance your skills with our educational programs at a reduced rate.

    • 20% off party rentals: Celebrate special occasions with our gaming setups at a discounted price.

    • 25% off birthday merchandise: Access unique gaming-themed merchandise for your celebrations.

  • A day pass gives you full access to the gaming lounge for the entire day, while a membership offers unlimited access month-to-month, along with perks like discounts on classes, camps, and party rentals. Memberships are perfect for regular players who want added benefits and flexibility.

  • Currently, memberships are designed for individual members. We do not offer family membership plans at this time.

  • To cancel your membership, please contact your enrolled location at least 10 business days before your next billing cycle. Alternatively, you may request to freeze your account if you need a temporary break.

     

    Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for detailed information on cancellation and freezing policies.

  • Yes, members can freeze their membership for a minimum of 30 days and up to a maximum of 60 days, up to two times per year. Medical freezes can extend as long as needed with a doctor’s note. During the freeze period, a monthly hold fee of $15 is charged on the regular autopay date.

     

    Please note that non-medical/non-military freezes incur the $15 monthly fee, while medical/military freezes do not incur fees with proper documentation. Memberships cannot be canceled while frozen; payments must resume before cancellation.

  • To sign up for a membership, please visit our Memberships & Passes page and select the membership option that best suits your needs. Follow the prompts to complete the registration process.

  • Our gaming lounge is available for players aged 8 and older. Classes are organized by grade level to ensure age-appropriate learning and development.

     

    For assistance in choosing the best class for your child, please contact your ELA location. While our lounge is designed with young people in mind, we are open to all gamers.

  • Yes, we provide a vending machine stocked with a variety of snacks, heat-and-eat meals, and beverages for your convenience.

  • At Ethlete Lab Academy, we prioritize the safety and security of our gaming stations to ensure a reliable and enjoyable experience for all users. Our equipment is regularly maintained and monitored to uphold high standards of performance and security. Additionally, we have implemented comprehensive cybersecurity measures to protect against potential threats, ensuring that our gaming environment remains fair and secure for all participants.

  • At Ethlete Lab Academy, we offer a diverse selection of games to cater to various interests and skill levels. Our library includes popular titles across multiple genres, ensuring that every gamer can find something they enjoy.   • Yes, you are welcome to bring your own peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, and controllers, to enhance your gaming experience at Ethlete Lab Academy. Please ensure that your equipment is compatible with our systems and that its use does not interfere with the experience of other guests. If you have any questions about compatibility or setup, feel free to contact our staff for assistance.

MERCHANDISE

  • We provide a variety of gaming-themed apparel and accessories, including t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and more. Our merchandise is designed to enhance your gaming experience and showcase your passion for gaming.

  • We offer a limited selection of merch in our lounge that is available for purchase, or you can purchase our merchandise through our online store on the Ethlete Lab Academy website. Simply browse the available items, add your selections to the cart, and proceed to checkout.

  • Yes, members enjoy exclusive discounts on merchandise. Specifically, members receive 25% off birthday merchandise. For more details on membership perks, please visit our Memberships & Passes page.

  • We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not happy with an item, we offer refunds according to the following guidelines:

     

    ELIGIBILITY FOR REFUNDS

    • Items must be returned within 10 days of the purchase date to qualify for a refund.

    • Items must be in their original condition, unused, unwashed, and with all tags and original packaging intact.

    • Final sale items, gift cards, and certain promotional items are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

     

    RETURN PROCESS

    • To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team with your order number and reason for the return.

    • After approval, return instructions will be provided. Return shipping fees may apply unless the item was defective or the wrong product was received.

    REFUND PROCESS

    • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected. Please allow up to 7–10 business days for the refund to process.

    • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.

     

    EXCHANGES

    • We are happy to exchange eligible items. To request an exchange, please contact customer service. Exchanges are subject to availability.

  • Yes, we offer gift cards that can be used to purchase merchandise and other services at Ethlete Lab Academy. Gift cards are available in various denominations and can be purchased through our online store or at our physical location, once open in February 2025.
